Agrilinks is an online platform developed by the Ministry of Agriculture for the purpose of linking local farmers or producers to the buyers. The platform is stored at the Ministry of Agriculture’s secured cloud-based system at the Central Information Technology Office (CITO) in Belmopan.
The system stores producers or farmers names, addresses, email and contact information and also information on the commodities available for sale. The buyers names, email and contact information are stored. Farmers or producers and buyers data are stored when they create an account on AgriLinks.
The data is stored on Agrilinks account is only accessed by the account owners. The account owner’s information will not be accessed or shared by the Ministry of Agriculture. Only the owner of the account has the right to share his or her Agrilinks information through social media links available for each commodity profile.
